Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit conference abstracts for publication in SPBSRF Proceedings of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the official conference proceedings publication of the Society of Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Scientific Research Foundation (SPBSRF). All submissions will undergo preliminary editorial screening and scientific assessment by the designated Guest Editor and, where appropriate, subject experts. Abstracts that meet the publication requirements will be considered for acceptance and publication.

Before submitting an abstract, authors must ensure that the work is original, scientifically sound, appropriately presented, and approved by all listed authors. Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions for any third-party material included in their submission and for securing relevant ethical approvals wherever applicable.

Abstract Preparation Requirements

Authors must prepare their abstracts according to the official abstract submission template provided by the Proceedings.

  1. Abstract length: The abstract must not exceed 500 words, excluding the title, author details, keywords, and other declarations.

  2. Title: Provide a concise and informative title that accurately represents the work.

  3. Authors and affiliations: Include the full names of all authors, their departmental and institutional affiliations, city, state, postal code where applicable, country, and email addresses. Clearly identify the corresponding author.

  4. Structured abstract: Organize the abstract under the following headings:

    • Introduction

    • Aim and Objectives

    • Methods

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusion

  5. Keywords: Provide 3–6 relevant keywords that accurately describe the subject of the work.

  6. Graphical abstract: Include a graphical abstract where applicable, ensuring that it is scientifically accurate and that the authors have the necessary rights to use the material.

  7. Acknowledgments: Acknowledge relevant technical, institutional, or other support where appropriate.

  8. Conflict of interest: Declare any competing interests or state that the authors have no conflict of interest.

  9. Funding statement: Identify the funding source and grant number, where applicable. If no external funding was received, state this explicitly.

  10. Ethical approval: For research involving human participants, animals, or other regulated research materials, provide the relevant ethical approval information wherever applicable.

  11. References: Include up to five relevant references, formatted according to the Vancouver referencing style. Avoid placing citation numbers within the abstract text; list the references separately.

Formatting Requirements

Authors should use the official Word template supplied by the Proceedings. The template uses Palatino Linotype and specifies the formatting of the title, author names, affiliations, and other sections. Authors should retain the prescribed structure and formatting when preparing their submissions.

The completed abstract should be checked for grammatical accuracy, scientific clarity, completeness of author information, and consistency between the abstract, graphical abstract, declarations, and references.

Submission and Review Process

Submitted abstracts will undergo preliminary screening for relevance, completeness, formatting, originality, and compliance with the Proceedings' policies. The Guest Editor may request corrections or revisions before making a final recommendation.

Authors must address the comments provided and submit the corrected version within the specified deadline. Final acceptance will be communicated after the editorial assessment is complete.

All abstracts may be screened for plagiarism or inappropriate textual similarity. The general similarity requirement is below 20%; however, the similarity score alone will not determine whether plagiarism has occurred. Submissions must comply with the Proceedings' Publication Ethics and Policies.
